Becoming a Medical Assistant
Medical assistants work alongside doctors and serve as a link between the physician and the patient. Because this is such an important job, medical assistants receive training in not only subjects such as computers and bookkeeping, but also biology and health. While medical assistants are not licensed, in most states they are subject to a test before operating such equipment as X-ray machines. Many of these classes are available starting in high school, but extend to the vocational and university level. Consider your options below.
