Physical Therapist Career Required Training
All therapists must pass a test to become licensed before they are allowed to practice. This of course is after they graduate from an accredited therapist education program. Such tests are a testimony to the prestige involved and the need for qualified workers in this field. The need to take and pass the test is in accordance with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
In 2001 there were 199 accredited physical therapist programs. Out of those, 165 of these programs also offered masters programs. In 2002 every program that offered a bachelors degree was also required to offer a masters degree. So the availability of the necessary training is becoming increasingly widespread.
